Editor of The Pioneer in Allahabad, an influential newspaper in British India. Vice-President of the TS between 1880-1888, 1895-1907 and 1911-1921. Author of The Occult World and Esoteric Buddhism. His correspondence with Mahatmas M. and K.H. was later on published in 1923 as The Mahatma Letters to A. P. Sinnett.
